Quick answer

A Notion clock widget is a live clock shown in a Notion page through an embed block. Playxoft's free Notion clock widget can be digital, analog, flip or a word clock, in any time zone, in five styles that blend into light and dark pages. Set it up in the builder, press Copy embed link, then type /embed in Notion, paste the link and choose Embed link.

  • Digital, analog, flip and word
  • Any time zone
  • 12 or 24 hours
  • Five styles
  • Dark mode and transparent
  • Smooth or ticking hand

How to use the Notion Clock Widget

  1. 1Choose a Style and a Clock type: Digital, Analog, Flip or Word.
  2. 2Pick a Time zone. Viewer's local time shows each person their own time.
  3. 3Set the details: 12 or 24 hours, seconds, the date line and an optional label.
  4. 4Press Copy embed link.
  5. 5In Notion, type /embed, paste the link, choose Embed link and drag the edges to resize.

Which clock type should I use?

Clock typeWhat you seeBest for
DigitalLarge digits, optional seconds and AM/PMSmall embeds, quick glances
AnalogA clock face with hands and your choice of dialSquare spots and cozy dashboards
FlipSplit-flap cards that flip each minuteStatement pieces at full width
Word"It is half past ten", as a sentence or a letter gridCalm, decorative pages

Each type takes the style you pick, so a Neon flip clock and a Paper analog clock come from the same builder. The analog second hand can sweep smoothly like a mechanical watch, tick once a second like a quartz clock, or be hidden.

How does the clock keep the right time?

The widget reads the clock of the device showing your Notion page, every second (or every frame for a smooth second hand), so it is as accurate as that device. Nothing is downloaded after the first load, which also means it keeps running offline.

Time zones come from the time zone database built into every modern browser, the same IANA data your phone and computer use. Daylight saving changes are applied automatically: a clock set to New York moves from UTC−5 to UTC−4 in March without you touching it.

When the Notion tab is in the background, the clock stops redrawing to save battery and catches up the moment you come back. If you prefer reduced motion in your system settings, the second hand ticks instead of sweeping and the flip cards change without animating.

Can I show the time in another time zone?

Yes. Set Time zone to any city, add a Label such as "Tokyo office", and the clock shows that city's time to everyone who opens the page. Leave it on Viewer's local time and each person sees their own time instead, which is right for a personal dashboard shared with people abroad.

Hour format set to Auto follows the language setting: 12-hour with AM and PM for English (US), 24-hour for most of Europe. Pick 12 h or 24 h to fix it either way.

Want several cities at once? The Notion world clock widget shows up to eight side by side, with day and night icons and time differences.

How does the word clock tell the time?

The word clock rounds down to the last five minutes and says the time the way people do:

TimeThe clock says
10:00It is ten o'clock
10:07It is five past ten (and two dots)
10:15It is quarter past ten
10:30It is half past ten
10:35It is twenty-five to eleven
10:45It is quarter to eleven

Up to four dots show the minutes past the last five-minute step, as on the classic letter-grid word clocks. Choose Sentence for the easiest reading at small sizes, or Letter grid for an 11 × 10 grid of letters where the words light up. The word clock speaks English; the date line under it follows your language setting.

How do I make the clock match my Notion page?

  • Theme Auto switches between light and dark with Notion in Chrome, Edge and the Notion desktop app, and follows your device elsewhere.
  • Background Transparent lets the page show through, so a Minimal clock looks like part of the page. Choose Solid for a card.
  • Accent color colors the second hand, glows and highlights. Match it to your page's icons or cover.
  • Font offers System, Serif, Mono and Rounded, all fonts already on the viewer's device, so the clock appears instantly.

Use the Notion light and Notion dark switch above the preview to check both before you copy the link.
