Quick answer
A Notion world clock widget shows the current time in several cities at once inside a Notion page. Playxoft's free world clock widget shows up to eight time zones in a row, grid or list, each with your own label, a day or night icon and how far ahead or behind it is. Pick the cities, press Copy embed link and paste it into a /embed block in Notion.
- Up to eight cities
- Custom labels
- Day and night icons
- Time differences
- Daylight saving aware
- Row, grid or list

Why put a world clock in Notion?
If your team, clients or family live in other time zones, the question "what time is it there?" comes up every day. A world clock on the dashboard you already open answers it before you send a message or book a call:
- Remote teams: one card per office or teammate, labeled by name, on the team's Notion home.
- Freelancers and agencies: your clients' cities next to your own, so you reply inside their working hours.
- Family abroad: see at a glance whether it is a good time to call.
- Travel planning: home time next to your destination while you plan the trip.
Labels are yours to choose, up to 24 characters each, and the cards stay in the order you set.
How are time differences and day changes calculated?
Each card works out its city's time from the time zone database built into the viewer's browser, every second. Daylight saving is handled per city: New York is UTC−5 in winter and UTC−4 in summer, while Tokyo never changes, so the gap between them changes twice a year and the widget follows.
The difference under each city is measured from the viewer's time zone. You and a teammate in another country can share one page and each see the differences from where you are. Zones with half-hour and quarter-hour offsets show exactly, such as India at UTC+5:30 and Nepal at UTC+5:45.
When a city's date differs from the viewer's, the card says Tomorrow or Yesterday, so a call at 9 AM on Monday in San Francisco is clearly the early hours of Tuesday in Sydney.
What does the day and night icon mean?
A sun shows from 6:00 to 17:59 local time and a moon from 18:00 to 5:59, and night cards get a slightly darker tint. It is a quick signal for "is this a reasonable time to reach someone?", not an astronomical sunrise: in summer in Stockholm it is light well before 6 AM, and in winter well after.
Turn the icon off with Day and night icon if you only want the times.
Which layout fits my page?
| Layout | How the cities sit | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Auto | A row when there is room, a balanced grid when there is not | Most pages |
| Row | Always side by side | A full-width strip across a dashboard |
| List | One city per line, time on the right | Narrow columns and departure-board looks |
Every layout scales its text to the size you give the embed in Notion. On phones, Notion collapses columns into one, and the widget re-measures and redraws for the new width. Analog faces work in all three layouts.
How do I find the right time zone for a city?
Time zones are named after a large city in the zone, such as America/New_York or Asia/Kolkata. If your city is not listed, pick the city that shares its clock and give the card your own label: Bengaluru and Mumbai use Asia/Kolkata, Boston uses America/New_York, and Melbourne and Sydney share Australian Eastern time but each has its own entry.
Add Viewer's local time as one of the cities to show each viewer their own time next to the others, labeled however you like ("You", "Home").
