Quick answer
A Notion life calendar widget shows your life as a grid of boxes, one for each week, month or year, with the ones you have lived filled in. Playxoft's free life calendar fills the grid from your birth date up to today, marks the current week and counts the weeks lived and to go. Enter your birth date, copy the embed link and paste it into /embed in Notion.
- Weeks, months or years
- Marks the current week
- Lifespan 40 to 120 years
- Squares or dots
- Turns sideways when wide
- Five styles

What is a life calendar?
A life calendar draws a whole human life as a grid: one row per year, one box per week. Tim Urban made the idea famous in his 2014 Wait But Why post Your Life in Weeks, where 90 years fit on a single page as 4,680 boxes. Oliver Burkeman's 2021 book *Four Thousand Weeks* takes its title from the same arithmetic: an 80-year life is only about 4,000 weeks.
Seeing the boxes you have already filled, and the ones still empty, is a calm way to keep the big picture in view: the old *memento mori*, as a chart. Choose how fine the grid is:
| One box per | Boxes for 80 years | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Week | 4,160 | A full-width embed; the classic view |
| Month | 960 | Half-width columns and phones |
| Year | 80 | Small embeds and sidebars |
How does the widget count the weeks?
Each row is one year of your life and starts on your birthday, so the first box of every row is your birthday week. A row holds 52 boxes; the last day or two of each year fold into the last box, as on most life calendars. If you were born on 29 February, your birthday counts as 28 February in common years.
The current box blinks gently (it stays still if your device asks for reduced motion). The widget reads today's date from the viewer's device and moves on at midnight. In a wide embed, the grid turns sideways, with your years running from left to right.
With Show the numbers on, a line under the grid reads, for example, *1,690 weeks lived · 2,470 to go · 40.6%*. Numbers follow the language setting.
Is my birth date private?
The widget never shows your birth date, only the grid. But the date is part of the embed link, so anyone who can open the link can read it, the same as with any embed setting. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere else.
If you would rather not share the exact day, use a date in the same month: the grid will look the same to anyone viewing it, and your current box will be off by a few days at most. On a private Notion page, only you see the link.

- Goals page: pair it with a progress bar for this year and a countdown to your next milestone.
- Family dashboard: one small grid per child, by month, makes a lovely keepsake.
